Constitution
GENSB was founded in 1998, according agreements between the five organizing countries as above. It is our goal to bring young people together on international level and to prepare them into Tug of War sport.

Agreements
1. GENSB-tournament, started in 1998, will be organized each year on the last Saturday of August, however, it is possible to organize one week before when this is announced at the latest till 1st January in the year of the competition.
2. National boards of the founding countries have given permission for a third cycle, starting 2008 and ending in 2012.
3. The organizing country can invite other countries to participate in this tournament.
4. Each founding country has to take part with at least two teams; there is no limit for more.
5. Each competitor will receive a personal medal, every year again made by the organizing country for it’s tournament, costs for this medal will be paid with entree fee’s from the teams.
6. Entry fee will be 50€ per team.
7. The tournament will be organized on a low-budget basis. The maximums for the following five years are agreed as followed:

For these prices the following services has to be provided:
- Diner, bed (suitable location) on Friday.
- Breakfast, diner, bed on Saturday.
- Breakfast on Sunday.
- Drinking water included in all meals and on the field
8. Each participating team will pay a refundable deposit of 100€, this amount can be used in case of deliberate made damage.
9. Travelling coasts are for participants.
10. The organizer provides the GENSB-Homepage with an integrated accreditation process, served by Jan Lenaerts. For this service the organizer paid € 200.- to Jan Lenaerts. From each accreditation done by a club, the GENSB delegate from this country will be informed by e-mail.

Competition rules
TWIF rules will be used, except the following items:
11. A puller, she or he, is eligible to participate in the GENSB tournament from the beginning of the year in which, she or he, reaches the age of 12 years until the end of the year in which, she or he, reaches the age of 18 years.
12. Mixed teams are allowed.
13. Weight class is 560kg.
14. The organization for the competition uses the group system like followed:
teams: groups/ropes:
Up to 24 4 groups using 4 ropes
25 – 44 4 groups using 6 ropes
More than 44 6 groups using 6 ropes
Responsible for appropriate utilising this system is the chief marshal and the chief judge of the organizing country
15. A team will consist from 7 to 10 (included) participants.
16. Lining up girls in a team will give a bonus of 10kgs for each girl, limited up to 600kgs.
17. Overhanging pullers will bee organized in mixed teams, still overhanging pullers will be composed as substitutes to the light weighted teams; responsible for this is the chef judge. A substitute from the own club is not allowed.
18. Participation of national teams is not desired.
19. The teams will be placed in the ranking in accordance to the following criteria:
• Result from the ratio points from the round robin matches
• Number of cautions
• weight (like TWIF rules)

Weigh-in
20. A testing scale will be located in a separated weigh-in area.
Opening hours: Friday: 17:00 – 22:00
 Saturday: 06:00 to end of weigh-in.
21. All pullers have to bring their national identity card to weigh-in; only if such a card is not of use in the land of origin, a TOW passport will be needed.
22. Procedure:
- control of identity card/passport
- weigh-in
- stamps
Only the team who is going to the scale will be allowed in the scale area, together with his coach, all others have to wait outside.
23. The organizer has to make sure that the procedure can be done as scheduled.


Field – Ropes
24. The field must be 50 meter long, grass must be as short as possible, a solid fence should be placed round the field.
25. The organizer will provide in minimum 5 ropes in a separate warm up area.
26. Between each rope will be a free area of 5 meter at least.
27. It is recommended that all lanes will be numbered from 1 or A to…….
28. Ropes and marks on field will be according TWIF rules.

Judges – Timekeepers
29. Each founding country will send at least two judges to the tournament.
30. Each guest country will send at least one judge to the tournament.
31. The organizing country will appoint the chief-judge.

Infrastructure
32. The organizer will provide the necessary and solid equipment for announcements by timekeepers.
33. Timekeepers must be located in a weather protecting place; also judges will have such a place.
34. A weather protecting area (in case of rain, hot sun) will be installed at the entrance of the field, big enough to locate waiting teams and their judges.
35. The organizer provides a certain amount of toilets beside the field.
